Banquets are a celebration of one’s accomplishments. This Thursday was a celebration of all that my team has done this season. However this banquet felt different than the previous ones had. This banquet meant it was the end of playing volleyball with some of my favorite people. I have never been so close to a team in my entire volleyball career and having to let these girl will be one of the hardest things I have ever done throughout my eight years of playing. Even though I know that all these girls will be rooting and cheering me on next year it will not be the same without them on the court next to me. The banquet taught me that sometimes celebrations can be just as sad and bittersweet as they are happy.
